Hawthorn East is a suburb where new architecture has to earn its place. The established streets and the quality of what already exists there set a standard that any new build is immediately measured against. Pascon understood that going in, and every decision made on this project reflects that understanding, from the way the brick courtyard entry engages with the street through to the quality of finish that carries through every interior space.\
What makes this project stand out is the way it holds two things in balance at once, confident contemporary construction and genuine sensitivity to its setting. The pool, the pivot doors, the kitchen, and the bedrooms all carry the same level of care, and the result is a home that neither fights its suburb nor disappears into it. That is a harder outcome to achieve than it looks, and it is exactly what Pascon delivered here.
